I am a licensed clinical social worker in Boulder, Colorado, providing psychotherapy services to a broad spectrum of clients. I offer short and long-term therapy, EMDR Therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing), and clinical supervision & EMDR consultation to other clinicians. My areas of interest & specialties include trauma, depression, anxiety, recovery from spiritual abuse or manipulation, abusive or cultic groups and relationships, life transitions, relationship issues, grief/loss, adolescent issues, and parenting.
I have 25 years experience as a clinician, am an EMDRIA-certified therapist and consultant, and have presented at conferences and workshops on topics including trauma, child development, and recovery from cults. I have been a facilitator at EMDR therapy trainings for 17 years and provide EMDR consultation to experienced and newly-trained clinicians.
A particular area of expertise is helping individuals and families recover from experiences in destructive cults, abusive churches, groups or relationships. I have worked in this field for 20+ years, and regularly co-facilitate Recovery Workshops and present at cult education conferences. I have published and presented on developmental considerations for children born or raised in cultic groups, and I am available for consultation on cult-related issues.
